Mount Lushan,located by the Poyang Lake,36 kilometers south of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province,covers an area of 350 square kilometers.The Hanyang Peak, the highest, rises 1,474 meters above sea level.

Mount Lushan, in Jiangxi, is one of the spiritual centres of Chinese civilization. Buddhist and Taoist temples, along with landmarks of Confucianism, where the most eminent s taught, blend effortlessly into a strikingly beautiful landscape which has inspired less artists who developed the aesthetic approach to nature found in Chinese culture.
